Pakistan Finance Minister Md Aurangzeb holds discussions with IMF team on maintaining macroeconomic stability

Islamabad, May 13 (UNI) Pakistan's Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb held talks with an IMF delegation in Islamabad today, and discussed preparations for the upcoming federal budget, required economic reforms and efforts to maintain macroeconomic stability amid growing regional uncertainty.
According to Pakistan's Finance Ministry, Aurangzeb briefed the global money lender delegation on the country's macroeconomic outlook, fiscal strategy and reform priorities, while outlining the government's broader plans for long-term economic stability and export-led growth.
The Ministry said the discussions focused on Pakistan's "macroeconomic stabilisation efforts, preparations for the upcoming federal budget, and the broader reform agenda aimed at strengthening fiscal and external sustainability while fostering sustainable economic growth".
