Islamabad, Sep 18 (UNI) Pakistan Customs intercepted an effort to smuggle over 15,465 mobile phones, predominantly Androids, valued at Rs 446 million from China into Pakistan via the Khunjerab Pass border crossing, media reports said on Wednesday.
The mobile phones and other things were confiscated, and a smuggling case was opened, the Dawn reported.
According to the team's report, a total of 15,465 mobile phones were discovered after inspecting/checking the products seized from an unclaimed truck. The items included including 8,365 smartphones (iPhone, Oppo, Vivo, One-Plus, etc.) and 7,100 bar phones, as well as other non-duty-paid commodities. The market value of these items is estimated at Rs 446 million.
