Jammu, Oct 21 (UNI) A BSF jawan suffered a serious injury as Pakistan yet again violated the ceasefire by firing heavily and targeting the forward Border Outposts in Hiranagar Sector of Kathua, while five Pakistani Rangers were also killed in firing across the border. However, Pakistan also violated the truce in Rajouri sector and an infiltration bid was foiled on the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, in which a jawan also sustained a bullet injury. 'Pakistan this morning at around 0930 hrs targeted a duty mound of BSF in Hiranagar Sector of Bobiya in Kathua district and seriously injured one Constable Gurnam Singh, resident of Bhaleshar, Magowali, R S Pura, Arnia Jammu,’’ BSF Spokesman here said. He said the jawan was instrumental in repulsing the terrorists-forced infiltration on the intervening night of October 19-20, adding, 'further Pak Rangers also started unprovoked fire in Kathua, Samba and Paragwal sectors, while befitting and caliberated reply was given by the BSF troops to the enemy.' Pak Rangers used heavy 82 Mortar fire in Hiranagar sector which was equally retaliated by BSF, he said and added that cross border firing stopped at 1700 hrs.
