Pak seeks UK's help for resuming stalled talks with India

Islamabad, Oct 24 (UNI) In the wake of heightened tension between India and Pakistan that led to stalling of crucial dialogue process, a perturbed Islamabad has sought the United Kingdom's help for resuming the talks and stopping 'killings of people' in Jammu and Kashmir.
“As a country with historic links to this region and as a member-state of the UN Security Council’s [five permanent members], it was incumbent on Britain to urge India to re-enter into a sustained dialogue with Pakistan so as to enable the two countries to peacefully resolve their differences,”daily Dawn quoted Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, on Foreign, Affairs Tariq Fatemi, telling British National Security Adviser Sir Mark Lyall Grant here yesterday.
Besides regional security issues, matters of mutual interest and current situation in Kashmir were also discussed during the meeting, the news paper report based on a statement issued by the Foreign Office, said.
