Islamabad, Apr 18 (UNI) Pakistan's Finance Minister Asad Umar has quit the Federal Cabinet.
In a social media message on Thursday, Mr Umar stated that the prime minister wanted him to take charge as Energy Minister, but he did not want to take charge of any other ministry, and would rather not be a part of PM's cabinet anymore.
A report of the News International said that after announcing that he was stepping down as Finance Minister, Mr Umar told a press conference that it was time to make some "difficult decisions" to stabilise the economy and that he hoped his replacement would be supported in their efforts.
