Padmavati echoes in Mah Legislative Council

Nagpur, Dec 15 (UNI) The row over the film Padmavati even echoed in Maharashtra Legislative Council with the BJP MLA demanding ban on it.
Raising the issue of Padmavati, BJP MLA Surjit Singh said that in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film queen Padmavati and Allauddin Khilji are shown in front of each other whereas according to history Padmavati and khilji never met face to face. The history of Padmavati is of chivalry and sacrifice. Through this film History as well as queen Padmavati has been insulted.
“There is intense protest is in entire country as well as Maharashtra against the film. It should not be released in Maharashtra and be banned.”
