Kolkata, Jan 18 (UNI) Senior Congress leader P Chidambaram today opined that the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) is unconstitutional and must be scrapped and said the NCR and NPR is the same and they are discriminatory.
Mr Chidambaram, who is now camping in the city since Friday, also joined the party's protest against the CAA at Park Circus Maidan in eastern part of the city to give a new thrust into the agitation against the BJP government at the Centre.
He told a news conference that the CAA was unconstitutional and discriminatory and this must the taken back or be scrapped altogether.
