Overall 66.53 per cent of average voter turn out recorded in Lok Sabha polls in Jharkhand

Ranchi, May 19 (UNI) Overall, Jharkhand witnessed an average voter turn out of 66.63 per cent in the elections held in four phases to the 14 Lok Sabh seats in the state.
Addressing a press conference here state's CEO L Khiyangate said the figures were about three per cent more than 2014 as the average voter turnout in 2014 stood at 63.82 per cent.
Detailing further, he said the final electoral rolls published for the Lok Sabha elections of 2019, the total number of eligible voters was 2,24,04,179 which included 1,16,98,304 male voters and 1,06,65, 268 female voters, third gender 231 voters, service voters 40376, overseas voters 40 and new voters (age group 18-19) 3,32,960.
