Over 73 pc voter turnout recorded in Ghatshila Assembly By-Election

Ranchi, Nov 11 (UNI) Polling for the Ghatshila (Scheduled Tribe Reserved) Assembly by-election in Jharkhand concluded peacefully on Monday evening, with a voter turnout of over 73 percent. The polling, which began at 7:00 a.m., ended at 5:00 p.m., with voters enthusiastically exercising their democratic rights across the constituency.
According to Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) K. Ravi Kumar, the polling process was conducted smoothly and recorded a turnout of 73.88 percent. He said, “Voting remained peaceful and orderly throughout the day. Voters, including youth, women, and elderly citizens, participated in large numbers, demonstrating strong faith in the democratic process.”
Long queues were witnessed at several polling booths since early morning, with voters patiently waiting for their turn. Adequate security arrangements were in place to ensure free, fair, and peaceful polling. Security personnel were deployed at all polling stations, and strict monitoring was maintained throughout the day.
