Over 600 from Karnataka to attend National Convention of BJP Mahila Morcha in Ahmedabad

Bengaluru, Dec 18 (UNI) More than 600 members from Karnataka would be taking part in the three-day National Convention of BJP Mahila Morcha which will be held at Ahmedabad in Gujarat from December 21.

Karnataka BJP Mahila Morcha President Bharati Shetty said in a statement issued here on Tuesday that over 6000 delegates are expected to take part in the event that is being held after a gap of 10 years.

The Karnataka delegates are drawn from among office bearers of Mahila Morcha, jilla parishat and taluk panchayat members, legislators and others.

The convention would chalk out plans to negate the negative campaign launched by Congress and other parties against the Narendra Modi government and ensure that BJP retained power in 2019 general elections, she said.

Ms Shetty said the convention would be inaugurated by union minister Nirmala Sitaraman and will be attended by Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani central and state BJP leaders besides others.

On December 22 Mr Modi would be addressing the Mahila Morcha members, Ms Shetty added.
