Over 3,500 tankers supply water to affected villages in Marathwada

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Jun 24 (UNI) With the drinking water situation in the Marathwada region becoming grim due to dried water resources and depleted ground water level, the administration has engaged over 3,500 tankers to supply water to affected villages in the region.
Currently, 3,545 tankers engaged to supply water to affected 2,502 villages and 802 hamlets as compared to 3,423 tankers in 2,426 villages and 812 hamlets two weeks back, official sources said here on Monday.
In most affected Aurangabad district, 1,174 tankers have been deployed to supply water to 785 villages and 273 hamlets.
