Over 200 Russian troops depart for India for Indra-2018 Drills - Spokesman

Vladivostok, Nov 16 (UNI) A total of 250 troops from Russia's Eastern Military District have left the country's Far-Eastern city of Vladivostok for India to take part in the upcoming Indra-2018 military drills, which will be held in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, Russian Pacific Fleet spokesman Nikolai Voskresensky said on Friday.
The Indra-2018 exercises are set to start in India on Sunday and last until November 28. A total of 500 Russian and Indian troops are set to take part in the drills. The military vehicles for the exercises will be provided by the Indian side.
"A total of 250 military personnel from the Eastern Military District have departed from Vladivostok on board of two Il-76 military transport aircraft and will be later delivered to the Babin training ground, where the practical part of the exercises will take place," Voskresensky told journalists.
