Over 1,000 students and professionals to attend CSI 2017

Kolkata, Jan 17 (UNI) More than 1,000 IT professionals and students across India will participate in the annual convention Computer Society of India (CSI) starting from January 19, here.
The convention will be inaugurated by Dr Partha Chatterjee, Higher Education Minister of West Bengal.
As many as 11 pre-convention tutorial sessions will be held on January 18 to benefit the young learners, students and IT professionals on subjects including cloud computing and security, computer vision for intelligent video surveillance, machine learning, green computing, face recognition, cognitive radio in 5-G, etc.
The programme will have participated by Professor P P Chakrantor, director, IIT Kharagpur, Dr Anurag Kumar, Director, IISc, Dr Pavithra Prabhakar, Kansas State University, Mr Amitava Ray, MD, Ericsson India, Dr Atlanta Pal, Head Innovations Lab, Dr Dhananjay Bhattacharya, Saha Institute of Technology among others.
The convention will end on January 21.

NSF calls 6-hour Nagaland bandh to protest CAB

Kohima, Dec14 (UNI) Normal life came to a halt this morning throughout Nagaland following a lightening call for a six-hour state-wide total bandh by the apex student body, the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) to express resentment of the Naga people against the contentious Citizenship (Amendment) Bill (CAB), which it said, was passed in the Parliament much against the interests and the sentiments of the indigenous people in the North East states.
