Outrage in Sultanpur over 12-year-old's murder

Sultanpur, Sep 13 (UNI) The murder of a 12-year-old boy, Kishan, in Sultanpur’s Gosai Ganj area has sparked public outrage, with the victim’s family accusing the police of inaction even five days after the incident. The grieving family and local residents today gheraoed the Dwarikaganj police outpost, demanding justice and immediate arrests of the culprits.
Kishan, a student of class VII at Ramrati Inter College, was found hanging with a rope tied to a bamboo support inside his house in Sarwan village on Monday morning. His father, Sahajram, discovered the body at around 8:30 am when he returned home. A brick was found on the bed under the hanging body, raising suspicion about the circumstances of the boy’s death.
The family immediately suspected foul play. According to Sahajram, Kishan had left for school at 6:00 am after telling his father he would eat some rice and buttermilk kept at home. When Sahajram returned two and a half hours later, he found his son dead. He immediately informed the police. Kishan’s mother passed away several years ago. His elder sister, Asha, is married. Following his first wife's death, Sahajram remarried a woman named Neetu, who has one daughter from a previous relationship. Neetu had reportedly gone to visit her daughter’s home on August 27 and was not present at the time of the incident. Kishan was residing with his father at the time of his death.
