OSDMA unable to implement NCRMP and ODRP projects in Odisha- CAG

Bhubaneswar, Sep 21 (UNI) Odisha State Disaster Management Authority (OSDMA) has not implemented the National Cyclone Risk Mitigation Project (NCRMP) and the Odisha Disaster Recovery Project (ODRP) efficiently despite utilizing Rs 1,432.72 crore as of March 2017.
The CAG report which was tabled in the Odisha Assembly yesterday said OSDMA has not made Early Warning Dissemination System (EWDS) one of the five components of the NCRMP, operational even after six years of the commencement of the project.
The Rs 65.56 crore project awarded to L&T was to be completed by March 2017. Among other things, the company was to install Alert Siren Towers in 164 locations.
