Opposition seeks longer session of Goa Assembly

Panaji, Jun 30 (UNI) The Opposition in Goa has demanded a longer session of the state legislative assembly to have a detailed discussion on budgetary demands.
in a statement, Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat said it was unfortunate that the government had reduced the duration of the forthcoming Goa Legislative Session, which provides opportunity to the Opposition to raise peoples issue and seek replies from the government.
"We have planned to raise questions and seek explanations from the government on issues of financial status, Covid pandemic, Labour scam, Collapse of law and order, Mhadei, EIA clearances given to projects in forest areas and Western Ghats which are environmentally sensitive Zones," he said.
