Lucknow, Aug 23 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Assembly today witnessed unprecedented situation when the entire opposition barring some members of the RLD were 'evicted' from the well of the House after they created pandemonium over law and order and other issues. After the infamous clash inside the Assembly in the late nineties, this was for the first time in the recent past that Speaker Mata Prasad Pandey ordered eviction from the well of the House. The House also witnessed some crucial moments when some agitated BSP members clashed with masrhals. Both the BSP and the BJP members followed by Congress and some RLD members trooped in the well of the House couple of minutes before the scheduled time and staged noisy scenes by waving posters and banners. The BSP members also wore paper caps with their banners raising the 'Jungleraj' issue in the state over the deteriorating law and order situation. But state Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mohammad Azam Khan protested against the act of the opposition members and moved a proposal to the Speaker for eviction of the members. He said that these members were creating 'anarchy' in the House and went to the extent of saying that BSP and BJP are working like 'two brothers'. Mr Khan also condemned the act of the BSP members for clashing with the marshals as this was for the first time such thing happened in the Assembly. The Speaker first warned the members to go to their seats otherwise he would be forced to take action. But when they did not relent , he ordered the marshals to evict those members who were agitating in the well of the House. "During the last four and a half year, it was my first harsh decision against the members," the Speaker stated. During the entire incident, chief minister Akhilesh Yadav was not present as he would be tabling the supplementary budget later in the House. Four Congress members including Lalu Singh, Banshi Singh Paharai and Pankaj Malick were the first to be evicted from the House while the BJP members themselves went out of the House. Later, BSP members argued with the marshals and a member pushed a marshal. But they too were evicted by the security personnel. Congress leader Pradeep Mathur sat on dharna outside the Assembly against the 'arbitatory' ruling of the Speaker. The BJP ,BSP and RLD members too staged protest outside the House raising slogans and sat on dharna. However, the Speaker took up the questions and other agenda of the House after the eviction of the opposition members. During that period RLD member Veerpal Rathi raised the issue of non-payment of sugarcane dues to the farmers. State Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mr Khan assured that state government would seek funds to pay the dues to the farmers. UNI MB ADG NS1330
