Opposition Congress to raise BJP’s note of dissent in Meghalaya Assembly

Shillong, Aug 23 (UNI) The opposition Congress on Friday said that it has listed several issues to take on the ruling National People’s Party (NPP)-led Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) government in the upcoming autumn session of the Assembly which will begin on September 6.
One of the issues includes the note of dissent by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which is part of the ruling coalition government.
“We have seen a statement of the BJP, one of the national parties instrumental for installing this present MDA government. The BJP has expressed concern including the allegation in respect of lack of development across the state, and the allegation of corruption in the government. Therefore, it is only pertinent on the part of the government to come clear on this,” Leader of Opposition, Dr. Mukul Sangma told reporters after the Business Advisory Committee meeting.
