Oppn should not play petty politics on national issues, Cong leaders suffer from complex : Amit Shah

Kaithal, Oct 9 (UNI) Union Home Minister and BJP national president Amit Shah on Wednesday said the Opposition should rise above party politics and support the government of the day, at least on national issues, as the nation was much important than petty politics.
Addressing his first public meeting in Haryana for Assembly elections in support of four BJP candidates of the district here, Mr Shah said the Congress, which ruled the country for more than six decades, was still in shock, after its consecutive defeats and hence, was playing dirty politics in and outside the Parliament, opposing every good decision taken by the Union government.
Be it the Abrogation of Article 370 from Kashmir, surgical strike against Pakistan, the foreign immigrants issue or the Triple Talaq bill, Congress has always opposed the government, while people have given a befitting reply to the grand old party, which bit dust in elections.
However, Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi have failed to feel the pulse of people, he quipped.
It has become the habit of Congress to criticise the BJP in general and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in particular, every day, Mr Shah alleged.
But, he assured that all illegal immigrants will be sent out of the country, much before the next general Lok Sabha elections in 2024.
He sarcastically remarked that Congress Spokesperson Randeep Surjewala, sitting Kaithal MLA and party's candidate, too suffered from some complex and always spoke against BJP and Mr Modi, even when the Prime Minister got a warm welcome on tour to foreign nations, which was a matter of great honour for the whole country.
He went on to add that even the acquisition of Rafale fighter aircraft by India was criticised by Congress leaders.
