Oppn alleges RTI amendment bill will dilute transparency provisions

New Delhi, July 22 (UNI) Opposition parties on Monday strongly criticised the Narendra Modi government for the passing of the RTI Amendment bill, 2019 and alleged that it diluted the transparency provisions in the law.
Amid opposition from various parties, Lok Sabha on Monday passed the bill, as the Modi-led government has a brute majority in the house.
The bill now will go for the consideration of Rajya Sabha, where the government still does not have a majority.
