Panaji, Jun 10 (UNI) Former Goa Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sardesai on Thursday said opening of tourism should not be based on allowing fully vaccinated tourists, rather it should be determined when all Goans are fully vaccinated so that Goa becomes a safe tourism #destination.
In a tweet, he said,'For once will the @GovtofGoa consider #Goemkars first? Opening #tourism is not based on allowing fully vaccinated tourists, rather it should be determined when all #Goans are fully vaccinated - so that #Goa becomes a safe tourism #destination. This is the global practice.'
'Before opening #tourism, the @GovtofGoa must ensure that all #Goan owned businesses & #Goan workers receive all the support & incentives they can to bounce back & recover. We must protect #Goan livelihoods first, if we truly want to #recover Goa’s tourism industry,' he said.
