One-time FRP dispute to be solved

Kolhapur, Oct 31 (UNI) "Cooperative sugar factory owners are to be bound for giving FRP (Fair Remunerative Price) as per sugar act for pertone sugarcane in one time to the farmers", assured by district guardian minister Satej Patil and state rural development minister Hasan Mushrif.
In a meeting of sugar factory owners in the district and Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghstana (SSS) leaders, which was held this evening at goverment guest house, to discuss on first installment of FRP for this year's crushing session. Mr Patil and Mr Mushrif, both were also chairmans of sugar factories, with giving a concrete assurance to SSS leaders that sugar factory owners were bound to give FRP amount in one installment as per sugar act.
While SSS state president Prof Jalandhar Patil, who was present for the meeting, was remained firm on 14 percent increased amount for sugarcane cutting workers should be given in cash by sugar factory owners without cutting from FRP amount. Prof Patil also said that in November Two sugarcane convention, we would decide future action of our agitation.
