One policeman and a dacoit killed in encounter

Kishanganj, Sep 12 (UNI) One policeman and a dacoit were killed in a fierce encounter between police and a gang of dacoits near Purabpali Power House under Town police station area in Kishanganj district late last night.
Police superintendent (In-charge) Vishal Sharma said here today that a gang of about 14 dacoits forcibly entered a business establishment of a leading businessman Nand Kishore Agrawal under Town police station area and its employees started screaming for help.
Locals rushed to the spot on hearing the screaming which prompted the dacoits to escape, he said adding that police was also informed about the incident and the dacoits were intercepted by security forces.
