One person burnt alive and 15 houses engulfed in fire when a Petrol tanker overturned and caught fire

Chikkamagaluru, June 19(UNI) One person was burnt alive and about 15 houses were engulfed with fire when a petrol tanker overturned and caught fire at Giripura in Kadur Taluk in the district on Tuesday.
Police said that the mishap took place when a Tanker driver was trying to overtake another Tanker and in the curve the vehicle overturned and the petrol got leaked from the tanker and caught fire. In the mishap the ill fated tanker cleaner (yet to be identified) was burnt alive and the flames engulfed nearby houses and threatening to spread further.
More than five fire fighters struggling to bring the flames under control.
