One killed in hit and run road mishap in Kangra

Dharamshala, Dec 6 (UNI) One person was killed on the spot in a hit and run road mishap and one person was injured in another road accident at two different places in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh falling under Jwali and Fatehpur police stations during last 24 hours, police said here on Tuesday.
SSP Kangra. Khushal Sharma told UNI that at Riyali village falling under Fatehpur police station a pedestrian identified as Ashok Kumar resident of village Riyali was killed on the spot following a hit and run accident at Riyali. He said that the erring driver who was driving rash and negligently an unknown vehicle hit the victim Ashok Kumar leaving him dead and the driver fled with his vehicle after the accident.
Police registered a case under section 279, 304 ( A) IPC and 187 MV Act against the unknown driver.
