One failed & the other will not take-off, Jaitley takes sarcastic dig at Rahul & Priyanka

New Delhi, Mar 15 (UNI) Union Finance Minister and BJP chairman for publicity in the run up to the polls Arun Jaitley on Friday sought to trigger a debate on the political expediency of the Congress move to field Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and wondered can there be a final outcome where people would say while Rahul Gandhi "failed", his sister could not make a good beginning.
"The Congress party believes that two owners are better than one. Will Confucius be proved right and history record that one eventually prevailed over the other or will it be otherwise. One failed. The other won’t take-off," Mr Jaitley waxed eloquently in his latest blog.
Trying to push his argument, Mr Jaitley referred to the Chinese genius Confucius and quoted him as saying - "..... that just as there can be only one sun in the sky, there can be only one emperor on Earth".
Mr Jaitley also wrote: "Where power sharing between successor dynasts takes place, who is the ultimate emperor?"
In this context, he referred to the dynastic politics in Haryana, Bihar and Tamil Nadu and mentioned that these states have witnessed 'the battle of brothers'.
Similarly, he referred to Uttar Pradesh, where it has been a contest between "a father and a son" - in reference to socialist veteran Mulayam Singh Yadav and the Junior Yadav - Akhilesh.
He also spoke about Andhra Pradesh wherein there has been the "battle of the sons-in-law" after there was a feud to take over the rich political legacy of legendary N T Rama Rao.
Making a veiled attack on former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda for pushing the cases of two grandsons -- Prajwal Revenna and Nikhil Gowda for the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, the Minister further wrote: "In Karnataka there is an experiment of sons sharing the State and the grandsons sharing the Centre".
In reference to some feuds in the Pawar family and of course not taking names, Mr Jaitley said "initial ripples have started" in Maharashtra also.
On this backdrop, he wrote - "The Congress has undertaken the same experiment. It believes that two owners (Rahul and Priyanka) are better than one.....One failed. The other won’t take-off".
