One dead in firing incident along Assam-Arunachal Border in Dhemaji dist

Guwahati, June 5 (UNI) In an inter-state border related incident between Arunachal Pradesh and Assam, one person was killed while another injured in violence that erupted at Panbari near Jairampur in Dhemaji district of Assam, police sources on Monday said.
According to police, miscreants from border area between Arunachal and Assam attacked people on the Assam side who were planting trees and saplings. Miscreants opened fire killing one and injuring two others.
The deceased person has been identified as Boga Chutia of Assam who was planting trees as part of World Environment Day celebrations along the Assam-Arunachal border.
