One arrested in Andaman for spreading hoax WhatsApp messages

Port Blair, Feb 10 (UNI) The Crime Investigation Department (CID) has arrested one person for spreading hoax WhatsApp messages in Andaman and Nicobar Islands about mass kidnapping of children, which had triggered ripple in A & N Islands.
Following media reports, an enquiry was immediately ordered into the incident by the Superintendent of Police, CID.
“Team of Cyber experts from Police Station Central Crime Station conducted the enquiry and over 200 Mobile numbers and WhatsApp users were examined to trace the origin of message,” Superintendent of Police (CID) Atmaram V Deshpande informed mediapersons today.
