One arrested for threatening, trying to assault civic engineer in Thane

Thane, Jan 24 (UNI) A man has been arrested by the city police for allegedly threatening and trying to assault an engineer of the Thane Municipal Corporation here.
Accused Sunil Pawse has been booked under sections 353, 323, 504 and 506 read with 34 of Indian Penal Code.
The incident occurred on Thursday noon when executive engineer of the TMC Mohan Kalal, accompanied by two other engineers, was inspecting the work of the water front development being carried out at Kolshet, under the Smart City project, police said.
At that time, accused Pawse arrived on a scene on a two-wheeler and started abusing them for allegedly razing his house.
He later beat up engineer Kaustubh Darshane of the company, to whom the contract of water front development was awarded.
When Mr Kalal and other engineers went to his rescue, the accused abused them and charged at them to attack them, sources added.
