On World Environment Day IIT-M launches 2nd Carbon Zero Challenge

Chennai, June 5 (UNI) The Indian Institute of Technology-Madras (IIT-M) on Tuesday launched
the Carbon Zero Challenge (CZeroC) 2019, an ‘All India Energy and Environment Innovation Competition,’ to commemorate the World Environment Day.
The aim of the second edition of the challenge was to reach out to environmental entrepreneurs, start-ups and Educational Institutions across the country.

Traffic remains suspended to dozens of far-flung, remote areas in Kashmir

Srinagar, Apr 23 (UNI) Dozens of far-flung and remote villages - including border towns of Machil, Karnah, Tanghdar and Gurez - remained cutoff for the second successive day from rest of the valley on Friday after roads leading to these areas were closed due to incessant rain and snowfall on Thursday.

Vijayawada, Apr 23 (UNI) Telugu Desam Party senior leader and former MLA Dhulipalla Narendra Kumar was arrested by the Anti-corruption Bureau police for his alleged involvement in the financial irregularities in the Sangam Dairy, at Chintalapudi village in Ponnnuru Mandal of Guntur district on Friday.
