On ‘WE’ Day, MP CM calls for team efforts

Bhopal, June 5 (UNI) Wishing citizens on the occasion of World Environment Day, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan emphasised on endeavours to fulfil “our collective obligation” vis-à-vis conserving natural heritage and biodiversity.
“Every individual should plant at least one sapling annually. If more seedlings are planted, it will indeed be a favour to humanity and nature. Biodiversity is the principal theme this year and our state happens to be extremely rich in that aspect. In Madhya Pradesh flows the lifeline ‘Mother Narmada’ and we have the Satpura, Vindhya and Maikal ranges. Rivers such as the Kshipra, Chambal, Betwa and Tapti also enrich our resources. At this juncture, humanity is encountering a challenging phase but my dispensation is determined to safeguard the habitat,” the veteran leader averred in a message.
