Omicron: Kerala takes precautionary measures, strengthens surveillance

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 27 (UNI) Kerala Health Minister Veena George on Saturday said the State Government has taken all precautionary measures and strengthened the surveillance in view of the Centre's alert regarding 'Omicron' (B.1.1.529) variant of COVID.
Surveillance would be strengthened in all airports in view of various reports about Omicron, the South African variant of COVID, the Minister said in a press release.
The Minister also called upon the people to complete the two doses of COVID vaccine as soon as possible.
