OMCs trying to meet LPG demand of hilly states in 2 days : Petroleum Min

New Delhi, Jul 20 (UNI) Public Sector Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) were working round-the-clock to meet the demand of domestic LPG customers in hilly states of the country, including Uttarakhand, within two days, the Rajya Sabha was informed today.
In a written reply, Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan said they are trying their best but delay in refill supplies may occur due to non-availability of filled LPG cylinders. They may be unavailable for unavoidable reasons like floods, strikes, bandhs, non-availability of trucks among others.
Companies have reported that presently, there is no shortage of LPG in any of the hill states, including Uttarakhand, except for Assam, Manipur and Tripura, the Minister informed.
