Chhindwara, MP, Mar 15 (UNI) Documents pertaining to undeclared property worth crores came to light thus far on Friday during Lokayukta Special Police Establishment raids at the local residence and other premises of a sub-engineer employed in the Public Health Engineering Department’s Mechanical Branch.
“The action followed a complaint that Pradeep Tiwari possessed assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. Papers were discovered regarding a dozen acres of agricultural land in the vicinity of Narsinghpur and a dwelling; four outlets and two flats here besides ten bank accounts. Household items costing in excess of Rs 35 lakh, jewellery worth more than Rs 10 lakh and Rs 2 lakh in cash were appropriated,” Deputy Superintendent (Lokayukta) JP Verma said.
The searches commenced early in the day. Tiwari joined the Department in 1980 and was transferred to Seoni six years back. From 1980 to 2012 he remained posted here barring a brief tenure in Hoshangabad.
