New Delhi, Apr (UNI) Odissi artists from across the country enthralled arts lovers in the capital at the three day Guru Pranam Utsav and Delhi Odissi Utsav, which concluded on Sunday evening.
The festival, which saw presence of eminent dignitaries like High Commissioner of Malaysia Dato’ Hidayat Abdul Hamid, former Indian diplomat Lalit Mansingh and Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia Sidhaarto Reza Suryodipuro, showcased the talents of many established as well as budding Odissi artists with Solo, Duets and Group choreographies.
Organised by the Vaishali Kala Kendra, the three day event held at ICCR Azad Bhawan,Vaishali Kala Kendra has been organizing Guru Pranam Utsav for last 30 years in memory of great Guru Srinath Raut,who dedicated his life proliferating the importance of Odissi as a cultural dance form across India and beyond.
This year Guru Pranam Utsav dedicated the first day of the Festival solely to Guru Srinath Raut and the following two days collaborating with Odissi International Forum for presenting several Odissi dancers from all over the country and abroad to perform for Delhi Odissi Utsav.
