Odisha ready to tackle any COVID resurgence: Minister

Bhubaneswar, July 14 (UNI) Claiming that Odisha is fully prepared to tackle any possible resurgence of COVID-19, Health and Family Welfare Minister Mukesh Mahaling on Tuesday said there is no reason for the public to panic as the State has put in place all necessary preparedness measures.
Chairing a high-level review meeting at Lok Seva Bhawan here, the Minister assessed the State's readiness and contingency plans to deal with any emerging COVID-19 situation. He said the Odisha Government is maintaining close coordination with the union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and is equipped to respond effectively to any eventuality.
Mahaling urged the people not to be misled by rumours or misinformation and appealed to them to remain vigilant while following essential health and hygiene protocols.
