Odisha launches two new schemes for farmers

Bhubaneswar, May 17 (UNI) Odisha Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment Minister Pradip Maharathy on Thursday launched two schemes with an objective to increase the income of farmers and create new employment opportunities .
Launching the schemes, Mr.Maharathy said while the ‘Mukhya Mantri Abhinav Krishi Yantrapati Saman’ is aimed at rewarding the farmers who have developed and used the innovating agriculture equipments, the ‘Mukhya Mantri Krishi Udyog Yojana’’ will expedite the process for setting up of agro industries and provide subsidy.
The Minister said under the Mukhya Mantri Abhinav krishi Yantrapatri Yojana the government would reward 101 farmers who included 11 farmers at the state level and 90 farmers at the district level, each year with cash award for their innovative innovation.

Hyderabad, April 24 (UNI) The Election Commission of India (ECI) has issued a communication stipulating that every individual employed in any business, trade, industrial undertaking, or establishment, eligible to vote in elections to the House of the People or the Legislative Assembly of a State, shall be granted a paid holiday under Section 135 B of the Representation of People Act.
