Odisha: Jaleswar police foils armed bank loot bid, seven dacoits held

Kendrapara, Aug 12 (UNI) The police have foiled an armed bank dacoit bid on late Sunday under Jaleswar police limits and apprehended seven inter-state dacoits.
In a swift operation and timely intervention of the DIG –cum-in-charge of IG of Police (Eastern Range), Dr.Satyajit Nayak, the Jaleswar police apprehended 7 inter-state anti-socials, including four from West Bengal and one from Delhi, while they were preparing plan for a bank dacoity at Jaleswar.
The dacoit gang had congregated at Dashahara padia in Gobar ghat under Jaleswar police limits in Balasore district when the police swung into action and foiled their plan to loot a bank.
