Odisha  Guv felicitates  Dutee, asks her not to be jealous and imitate any body

Bhubaneswar, Sep 3 (UNI) Indian sprinter and double silver medallist in Asian Games

2018 Dutee Chand has got the success due to her will power, determination and hard

labour, Odisha Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal said here today.

Prof Lal who felicitated Ditee, a KIIT student on behalf of the people of the State at

a Ceremony here, said strong will power and determination bring success to anybody.

Dutee, he said has got the success due to her will power, determination and hard

labour and advised her not to be jealous and imitate to anybody.

Mohanty, MP ,local MLA Priyadarshi Mishra, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation

Presiding over the programme, KIIT & KISS founder Dr.A Samant said, today Dutee

got the achievements due to her strong determination and hard labour.

He said Dutee hailing from a very poor family had to struggle hard from her childhood

but she never lost sight of her goal.

He further said, “I am sure in the coming Olympics, she will bring medal for India”,

Responding to the felicitation, Dutee said, “I got this success due to all of your love

affection and good wishes and the credit for the success goes to the people of Odisha.”

She said, "Dr. Achyuta Samanta has always stood behind me and inspired me to

achieve my goal. He was with me in most painful period of my life and guided me in

every moment not to lose hope and courage.”

Expressing her gratitude to both Centre and Odisha government for extending support

and cooperation, She said, “I am personally very much thankful to Chief Minister Naveen

Patnaik for his support to sports and sportspersons.

Odisha, she said is the only state to give the highest cash award of Rs. 3 crore to an

athlete and thanked all well wishers and people of Odisha.
