Odisha CM launches distribution of additional paddy input subsidy for farmers

Bhubaneswar, Dec 8 (UNI): Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Sunday launched the distribution of an additional input subsidy of Rs 800 over and above the MSP of Rs 2,300 per quintal of paddy to the state's farmers at a meeting held at Sohela in Bolangir district.
The meeting was attended by K V Singh Deo, Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Agriculture and farmers' Empowerment; Suresh Pujari, Minister of Revenue and Disaster Management; and Krushna Chandra Patra, minister of Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare.
Addressing a huge gathering of farmers at Sohela, the Chief Minister said the additional input subsidy was transferred to the accounts of 21,500 farmers through DBT.
