Odisha announces mandatory seven day isolation for returnees from 10 states, two UT's

Bhubaneswar, Feb 26 (UNI) In view of an upsurge in COVID-19 infection in some states in the country, the Odisha government on Friday announced a seven day mandatory isolation for the returnees from ten states and two union territories.
Additional Chief Secretary, Health P K Mohapatra in a letter to all collectors, municipal commissioners and air port authorities and East Coast Railway advised them to take all precautionary measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. People returning from Maharashtra, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, West Bengal, Punjab, Delhi, Chandigarh, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh will have to stay at home isolation for seven days, the letter read.
Mr.Mohapatra said all passengers coming from these states would be screened at the point of arrival at airports and railway stations as per the protocol. “All the incoming passengers will remain under mandatory Home isolation for 7 days. If during this period they develop any symptoms they will be subjected to RT-PCR test,the circular said.
