Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Apr 4 2017 4:26PM Odia girl wins Annual NASA Contest 2017Rourkela, Apr 4 (UNI) Odia girl Eeshanee Tripathy has bagged the first Prize in the Grade XI Category of the prestigious NASA AMES Space Settlement Design Contest 2017, hosted jointly by NASA and the National Space Society (NSS).Rourkela Steel Plant(RSP) sources here said Eeshanee is the daughter of Dr Sumitra Das of NIT, Rourkela and Mr Somnath Tripathy, DGM (Projects-Materials Management), RSP and her project “The Space Settlement of AURA” is based on innovative designs and futuristic science as well as technologies feasible in space. She has been invited by NSS to attend and present her project work in the 36th Annual International Space Development Conference (ISDC) at ST Louis, USA from May 25 to 29. Her project was selected from over 1500 submissions from students all over the world.
