Ockhi Cyclone: Death toll climbs to 72

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 14 (UNI) The death toll in Cyclone Ockhi rose to 72 with six more decomposed bodies found on Thursday.
The six bodies were found 11 nautical miles off Beypore coast of Kozhikode. The fishermen who went for fishing found the bodies in the mid-sea. On Wednesday, 11 bodies were recovered from various coasts.
According to official sources, 10 bodies, kept at mortuaries in various hospitals, are yet to be identified. A body kept at the Medical College hospital was identified through DNA test on Wednesday.
The State Revenue Department claimed that about 102 fishermen are still missing.
However, the local church authorities said about 98 fishermen are missing from the Thiruvananthapuram district itself. The fishermen community fears that the death toll could touch 100 as more bodies are being recovered on every day.
