Number of active COVID-19 cases climbs to 639 in Chhattisgarh, with 105 fresh cases

Raipur, Jun 5 (UNI) The number of active cases of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) infection climbed to 639 in Chhattisgarh as 105 more persons tested positive in the state on Friday.
According to information received from health department, Korba district saw a biggest single-day spike in Coronavirus cases with 40 on Friday. The fresh cases also included 16 in Baloda-Bazaar district, 14 in Bilaspur district, 13 in Raigarh district, 4 each in Balod and Raipur, 6 in Rajnandgaon and 6 n Durg, 2 in Kawardha, 1 each in Koriya and Balrampur districts. Process is underway for their admission in hospitals. Meanwhile, 31 patients were discharged from hospitals after their recovery today.
Total 81773 suspected Coronavirus patients were identified so far in the state and their samples were sent to labs for testing. Samples of 78134 of them tested negative while results of 2778 samples are awaited.
