New Delhi, Sep 27 (UNI) NTT Data acquired 55.35 per cent stake in Atom Technologies Ltd from 63 Moons, which continue to hold approx 36 per cent stake in Atom as per agreement.
Japanese system integration company NTT DATA announced on Friday that it will be acquiring a majority stake in Indian payments service provider Atom Technologies, which is owned by 63 Moons Technologies.
'We are pleased to inform that 63 Moons technologies limited has completed all the stipulations before closing, given in NCLAT order for the sale of its ATOM, a subsidiary of the company, for the aggregate consideration of USD 9.24 million to NTT Data Corporation, Japan,' a statement from 63 Moons Technologies Ltd said.
Tokyo-headquartered NTT DATA, a part of Fortune 100 NTT Group, entered India after acquiring companies in Malaysia, Vietnam, Hong Kong and Thailand, to further strengthen its business presence in South Asian markets.
The shares of Atom technologies held by 63 Moons , which were attached under the MPID Act, were released as per Bombay High Court order, the statement said.
The Supreme Court on Tuesday had sought response from Jignesh Shah-headed 63 Moons Technologies (erstwhile Financial Technologies) on petitions challenging the Bombay High Court’s August judgment that quashed the Maharashtra government notification for attachment of moveable and immoveable properties worth Rs 8,500 crore of 63 Moons.
'It took 1.5 years when media trial (unintentional) was at its peak but this deal confirms the 24 karat quality of 63 Moon group and one of the best example of start-up India, digital India and above all Make in India quality enterprise,' said Jignesh Shah.
Having its presence across 50 countries and employing more than 1,20,000, NTT DATA is one of the largest IT companies globally, with revenues of USD 19 billion.
