NTPC R&D arm ropes in German institute for research on solar PV, CPV technologies

New Delhi, Apr 20 (UNI) NTPC Energy Technology Research Alliance (NETRA) is collaborating with prestigious German Institute of Solar Energy (ISE), Fraunhofer, Freiburg for joint research on Solar PV and CPV technologies, the company said in a statement.
NETRA, the R& D arm of NTPC, plans to set up 53 kWp CPV system and dual axis based test tracker fabricated by ISE, for field performance evaluation of CPV and PV technologies.
A three-day seminar with discussion on installation of CPV & test trackers and site finalisation was held recently in NETRA by Dr Gerald Siefer, Scientist, Head of Team III-V Cell and Module Characterization Division Materials - Solar Cells and Technology, ISE, Fraunhofer Institute, Germany.
NETRA plans to set up state-of -the-art evaluation facilities for CSP, CPV, and Solar PV and conduct various programs for knowledge sharing, capacity building with German Institutions DLR Cologne and Institute of Solar Energy (ISE), Fraunhofer, Freiburg on Solar Energy Research.
German Government is funding the programme under the aegis of Indo-German Research Cooperation.

New Delhi, April 19 (UNI) Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA), the nation's largest pure-play green financing NBFC, Friday announced an all-time high net profit of Rs. 1,252.23 crore in 2023-24, a 44.83 per cent jump over the previous fiscal year 2022-23.

Hyderabad, April 19 (UNI) The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (CSIR-IICT) and Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) Corporate R&D have forged a partnership to develop technology for capturing and converting carbon dioxide (CO2) to Dimethyl Ether (DME) through direct catalytic conversion.
