NTPC Kudgi III unit of 800 MW commercialised

Kudgi, Karnataka, Sept 14 (UNI) The 3rd unit of 800 MW of NTPC Kudgi, was declared commercial on Saturday and thus the entire project has become fully operational with 2400 MW.
Earlier First and 2 Unit of 800 MW each commenced commercial generation on July 31 and December 31-2017 respectively.
The power generated from this project shall be provided to the states of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala. Karnataka State gets a major share of 50 per cent. The power is being evacuated to the Southern grid through the 400 KV Transmission lines.
