NSDC, TCS ink MoU to boost Skill India Mission

New Delhi, May 24 (UNI) National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) on Thursday inked a Memorandum of Understanding with IT major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to leverage the Learning and Assessment platform of TCS iON to provide speed and scale in skilling initiatives.
The partnership is aimed to enhance NSDC’s skill development and capacity building initiatives such as National Occupation Standards (NOS), Qualification Packs and Curriculum.
National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) is a Public Private Partnership mandated to involve the private sector in skilling 150 million Indians by 2022.
With an objective to strengthen skilling outcomes through digital technology, TCS iON, through its Learning and Assessment platform, will help in developing a framework and integrating these resources. TCS will bring iON platform - the ‘Phygital’ (Physical Assets integrated with Digital platforms) delivery model and its large partner ecosystem to the engagement.
Announcing the association, NSDC MD & CEO Manish Kumar said, “Our partnership with reputed organisations such as TCS is a step towards accelerating the Skill India Mission.”
