NRL lights up seven villages in Assam

Guwahati, Nov 11 (UNI) State owned Numaligarh Refinery Limited has
provided solar home lighting systems to 290 unelectrified households in
seven villages of Assam, officials said.
“Treading another step towards accomplishing its CSR objective of
improving rural infrastructure, Numaligarh Refinery Limited provided Solar
Home Lighting Systems (SHLS) to 290 unelectrified households in 7
nearby villages during 2016-17,” a press release said.
The project was formally inaugurated last week at Madhabpur Village,
The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), New Delhi, was the partner
Institute in planning, designing and implementation of the project. Villages
covered under this rural electrification scheme are Lettekuchapori,
Dhansiri Hahsara, Goroimari Balichapori, Borpak Nagabali, Madhabpur,
Madhupur and Butalikhawa, the release added.
