NRIs play pivotal role in strengthening UP’s economy: Sidharth Nath

Lucknow, Nov 14 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh MSME, Investment and Export Minister Sidharth Nath Singh here said Non-resident Indians play an important role in strengthening the economy of the state.

After a review meeting at the NRI department, Mr Singh here on Thursday said a list of NRIs should be made. He said for convenience of NRIs, a web portal displaying information and services should also be formed. He said government schemes should be displayed on web portal also.

He said Yogi Adityanath government was promoting tourism and investment for foreigners as well as NRIs. He said several facilities will be provided to NRI interested in investment in the region.

UP minister said tourism should be promoted on a large scale as it will generate more employment opportunities. He said attractive tourist packages should be propagated for tourists.
